Derry has one of the most significant collections of historic building fabric in Northern Ireland, from the walled city centre outwards, alongside extensive Victorian and later housing.

Older city-centre buildings are typically solid-walled with no original damp proof course, and many have had decades of well-meaning but unhelpful modern repairs — cement render and impermeable paint that trap moisture in the wall.

Undoing that, and specifying treatment that lets the structure dry, is a large part of what we do here.
